The why behind the work
Long before Taser Design had a name, Baris was an industrial design student who couldn't stop building. While campus emptied out at night, he was in the shop. He'd befriended a professor who trusted him with the keys, and he'd drive an hour and a half each way just to pick them up and drop them off, all so he could work after hours and turn the designs in his head into something real. Nobody asked him to. He just couldn't leave an idea unbuilt.
That drive never really stopped. Baris turned a late-night habit into a career in custom fabrication and exhibits, and he founded Taser Design in Chicago in 2001. By 2008 the work was going national. For more than twenty years, he's built everything from small-business storefronts to major brands' trade-show booths to custom builds in private homes, and the standard has never changed with the size of the job. Hundreds of clients later, the thing they remember isn't one feature or one finish. It's that choosing Taser Design was the best decision they made for bringing their vision to life.
Taser Design is still family-owned and family-run. We treat your project the way Baris treated those borrowed keys: as a privilege, and a responsibility to do it right. That means the same person who designs it is the one who sees it through, the details nobody photographs still get done properly, and your idea gets the same late-night obsession his own ideas got thirty years ago.
